Event Overview
This race exists to enlighten all those who think the Free State is that flat part on the N1 on your way to Cape Town. Come and challenge yourself with the unique and extreme 4Peaks mountain race. The race’s home is in the picturesque Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve. This unique circular race runs along the tops of the Witteberg Mountain range, forming an unforgettable horse shoe which encloses the Moolmanshoek valley.
Most athletes make a weekend of this event with friends & family, adding their own value with activities like a 10KM Bowl Run on jeep track, we also offer a kids run that starts after the last runner has come in giving an opportunity for the kiddies to run a little loop with the family & a breathtakingly beautiful mountain bike ride the day after the event

Apart from the traditional 24km route – which is known as the toughest 24km mountain race in the country – we have also added a 10km Panoramic Route Run, which will follow the base of the mountain range as a great option for those not yet ready to tackle the mountains.
Additionally we have a 20km and 40km mountain bike race that will be held on Sunday – ensuring something for the whole family to do, as well as being great for those who enjoy multi-sport events over a weekend.
