Event Overview
This unique event, held in the stunning Moolmanshoek Private Game Reserve, is not for the faint of heart. The 4 Peaks is considered the toughest 24km mountain challenge in South Africa, with a vertical ascent of over 1800m. But don’t let that fool you, this event is a true family affair, with a range of activities for everyone to enjoy, including a 10KM Panoramic Run, kids run, a 25km and 50km mountain bike race, and even a kiddie’s treasure hunt!
This self-supported and self-navigational race takes you on a circular route along the tops of the Witteberg Mountain range, forming a horseshoe that encloses the Moolmanshoek valley. For those not quite ready to tackle the mountains, there is also a 10km Panoramic Route Run following the base of the range. The 24km route is not marked, but easy to navigate with clear signage and marshals at key places. With steep ascents and descents, and some parts that are just amazing to run, this is an event that will truly test your limits.
